about

My interest converges on natural landscape and experimental photography. I traverse both working environments, looking for nature´s expressions in small and large-scale landscapes.
I understand those landscapes as a text. I aim to use them as a discursive element, with the personal purpose to invite to introspection, remembeing our sense of belonging to nature.
Merging diverse disciplines I nourish my photographic work, transforming it into performative expressions, video, and installations. I integrate tools learned from internal martial arts enriching my perception and understanding of natural spaces. These tools are interlaced with the approach to science coming from my engineering background particularly expressed in my experimental works.
In my artistic practice, I maintain an attitude characterized by the Chinese concept of yin. Rather than shoot or capture an image, I allow the image to enter. At the moment of showing the images, I prefer leaving a space for silence and contemplation.

In the act of looking, receiving and offering are two actions that occur together.
