Dear friends,
I hope you are doing very well, and I hope the following months of this very particular year, will be good and sweet for you.
I am writing to tell you some of my news and to share with you a special proposition. The first months of 2020 found me in France, finishing a period of academic exchange. A little later, while I was organizing my trip back to home, the lockdown arrived. I then devoted myself to writing my thesis during the peak months of the pandemic european winter-spring. I finished my Master of Arts in Photography at Aalto University in Finland last June, just when the French confinement was beginning to ease up. While this stage of study and artistic production closes and a new one begins, I will be on the lands of the old continent waiting for Argentine borders to re-open.
This new and complex context has inspired me to take a special action to manage better these waiting months, and I decided to explore a different way of sharing and selling my artworks. Thus, I have started a special sale of pieces of my latest works -which were destined for (now cancelled) exhibitions- the last copies of my author’s book editions, and some of my portfolios.
Below, there is a catalog of available pieces, including the description of each work, dimensions and material of each piece… but not the price. With this proposition, I want to explore a different way of experiencing the relationship between artist and collector, based on direct relationship, trust and mutual agreement on the value and price of the works. So, If you wish to acquire any of the pieces for your own collection or to give it as a gift to someone else, please contact me by email or whatsapp so that we can discuss and agree about the price, details of sale and shipping.
Because this proposition is a special one, I am sharing it with a selected group of collectors and friends, and it will be valid for limited time. If you would like to share this proposition with other people you know and who might be interested, I would be very very grateful. Just, please, share it from person to person, instead by public posting on social networks, to keep it in an extended trust circle. You can use this link https://marinalosada.com.ar/una-propuesta-especial/?lang=en, or you can also ask me by mail for a pdf version of the catalogue ( web page and catalogue available in English, French or Spanish)
Thank you very much!
A warm and special hug and my best wishes for this ending boreal summer.

La Mañana
Lauren Gaskill’s text for the Trouvailles exhibition in Arles in 2018, presented this project called La Mañana as a glimpse into the invisible pockets of nature, a personal invitation to enter into the ritual of the early morning, wandering amidst the first glimmers of the sun when, according to ancient mystical traditions, a certain porosity opens up between heaven and earth.

Oneing
In this work of visual stereophony, I draw a link between the images of the sky and the earth, venturing into the perception of our planet as a unit, a single living organism.
The absence of topographical indications awakens the urgency of anchors, references, categories. The quest for geographical and temporal boundaries, for divisions and classifications, protects us from the fear inherent in accepting the life-earth as a simple unity.

Väre
Väre1 is a multifaceted experimental project about transformation and perception. Like any experimental process, or like life itself, it is an eternal work in progress.
I sought to transform music into images, using its own materiality. Water was my means of decoding and light made the transformation visible.
In order to convey the complexity that music embraces, I improvised on multiple sound and light modulations. As if I was playing an instrument for a visual interpretation of musical works, I generated figures on the surface of the water that were portrayed in these photographic images.
Throughout this project I rediscovered the concept of wave motion that is present in sound, water and light. Although we cannot perceive it with the naked eye, this same wave behavior inhabits all the matter on our planet, at the level of subatomic particles.
Will humans ever be able to perceive this common behavior through everything that exists?
In my search for answers I explored the visuality of music and the haptic aspect of images. Thus, I extended my artistic practice from photography to contemporary dance, to live analogical audiovisual performance and to the moving image. These experiences converge in Väre to shape a transdisciplinary project, which has been the subject of my MA thesis in photography, and which was presented at the Finnish Museum of Photography in Helsinki, at the Amphitheatre of the Lumiére University Lyon2 and at ENSP Arles in France.
1:The Finnish term väre refers to small waves on the surface of a fluid and also describes a similar movement on human skin.
